Indian PM and Russian President hold 21st annual summit in New Delhi

The Xinhua reported, visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held the 21st annual summit between the two countries in New Delhi on Monday.


This was the first in-person meeting between the duo since their meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Brasilia, Brazil, in November 2019.

After the summit-level talks, both sides signed agreements on fields including science and technology, higher education, intellectual property, military-technical cooperation, merchant shipping, cultural exchange, use of outer space for peaceful purposes, power, steel, sports and education.

Prior to the annual summit, the two countries held the first 2+2 dialogue, where the foreign and defence ministers of both sides held discussions on issues of mutual interests.
