Syrian Opposition Forces Advance in Idlib Countryside

Syrian opposition factions have achieved significant progress in the countryside of Idlib, engaging in a series of battles against government forces that resulted in the capture of strategic locations, including the town of Abu al-Duhur and the military airport in the eastern region. The government forces suffered substantial losses during these operations, which were part of the "Deterrence Against Aggression" initiative.
The "Military Operations Administration" reported a notable collapse within the ranks of the government forces, leading to their withdrawal from several strategic positions in the Aleppo and Idlib countrysides following intense confrontations with opposition units. The administration confirmed the continuation of its operations "to repel the aggressors from all occupied areas."
Additionally, the Military Operations Administration declared its control over several villages in the region, such as "Sheikh Idris," "al-Rayan," "Tal Dibs," "al-Kanayis," "I'jaz," "Sha'rat al-Ajaiz," as well as "Branan," "Tal Sultan," and "Jadida Abu Duhur" in eastern Idlib, along with the town of Jirjnaz in southeastern Idlib, following direct confrontations with government forces.
In another development, opposition factions succeeded in taking control of the villages of "Tal Kirsian," "al-Rasafa," "Kafr Amim," and "Hazzan" in eastern Idlib, along with the town of Talmanas adjacent to the city of Maarrat al-Nu'man from the eastern side.
Furthermore, these factions consolidated their control over villages such as "Talafih," "al-Dahabiya," "Jaliba," in addition to "Tall al-Halib," "Tal Khutrah," "Samka," "Waisita," "al-Mushayrifa," "Barisa," and "Tal Aghar." They were also able to enter the town of "Tal al-Tuqan," considered one of the key locations in eastern Idlib.
The opposition forces also made advancements in seizing control of the villages of "Mughara Mirza," "Jadida," "Halban," "al-Sarman," "Ishtablati," "al-Sayyadi," "Rasm al-Ward," and "Kratin al-Kabir" in eastern Idlib, in addition to the villages of "Dana" and "Jarada" in the south.
