BTECH Launches Bahrain Digital Content Award, Invites National Talent and Enterprises to Participate

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has officially announced the launch of the Bahrain Digital Content Award- Bahrain extending an open invitation to companies and emerging talents across the Kingdom to submit their outstanding digital creations before the submission deadline. The initiative aims to both honour national achievements and foster the Kingdom’s digital ecosystem.
The annual awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in June, with organisational support provided by WorkSmart for Events Management.
The award encompasses a broad spectrum of strategic categories that align with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national development objectives. These range from strengthening community engagement and advancing digital government services, to key sectors such as healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the award recognises innovation in the economic, cultural, and technological domains. A dedicated category has also been introduced to foster youth creativity and empower emerging digital talent across the Kingdom.

Mr. Ahmed Al-Hujairy, President of Digital Content Award – Bahrain, affirmed the importance of the award in embedding a culture of digital innovation within the Kingdom, and highlighted the award’s role in fostering constructive competition among companies and youth.
Mr. Al-Hujairy said, "We aim to present a distinctive and impactful edition of the Bahrain Digital Content Award. The dedication shown by Bahraini innovators across all sectors continues to inspire, as their work lays the foundation for a thriving and progressive digital landscape in the Kingdom." commented.
Mr. Al-Hujairy noted that the Digital Content Award- Bahrain, established in 2005, reflects the organisers’ ongoing efforts to advance the digital technology sector in the Kingdom and empower its creative community. The Society’s believes in the pivotal role of digital content in driving holistic development, and the award serves as a catalyst for innovation, a platform to enhance content quality, and a means to showcase national talent with the potential to compete on a global stage.

BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, has sponsored the BuildHer CityHack 2025 Hackathon, a two-day event spearheaded by the College of Engineering and Technology at the Royal University for Women (RUW).
Aimed at secondary school students, the event brought together a distinguished group of academic professionals and technology experts to mentor and inspire young participants.
More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
