Statements by Engineer Sawsan Abu Zein Al-Din, Executive Director of "Madaniya" organization, provoked Moscow during a Security Council session called by Britain.

In her intervention, Abu Zein Al-Din denounced what she described as the "inaction and passive policy" of the international community that undermines the path of Resolution "2254," exacerbating the tragedy. She criticized Russia and China's role in obstructing numerous resolutions, emphasizing the Syrian people's aspirations for justice and change.

Enab Baladi newspaper reported Moscow's dissatisfaction with Britain's hosting of the "Madaniya" official at the Security Council session, demanding clarification for the reasons behind inviting Abu Zein Al-Din to participate.

Moscow described the United Kingdom's move as "direct provocation," adding that London aimed to "politicize the session in the spirit of neo-colonialism prevalent there."

Russian Deputy UN Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy claimed that the civil society representative presented a "fictional narrative" about the conditions of Syrian citizens, alleging that Syrians are living "successfully" and peacefully under the Syrian regime's authority.
