Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday (August 23) there can be "no mercy" for those behind a car bombing that killed the daughter of pro-Kremlin ultranationalist intellectual Alexander Dugin.

"The investigation will hopefully be completed soon. According to the results of this investigation, there can be no mercy for those who organised, ordered and carried out (the bombing)," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow.

On 20 August, Darya Dugina was killed when her car exploded in flames on the outskirts of Moscow.

She is the daughter of "Putin ideologue" Alexander Dugin. She wrote for Russian propaganda outlets and TV channels.

Dugina is one of the authors of "The Book of Z" about Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Mykhailo Podoliak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of President of Ukraine, stressed that Ukraine is not involved in the bombing of propagandist Darya Dugina, which the Russians have already begun to accuse us of.

"Ukraine, of course, has nothing to do with yesterday's explosion, because we are not a criminal state, which the Russian Federation is, and even more so not a terrorist state," Mykhailo Podoliak said.

According to Podoliak, the Russians are escalating to get an explicit mobilisation, not a hidden one.

According to another version reported by the Adviser to the Head of the Office of President, there are various political groups now fighting among themselves to redistribute the internal ideological space within Russia.
