إدارة الأمن العام

The Barzeh Housing area in Damascus witnessed a women's protest, where a group of women gathered to express their anger following the arrest of their children during a security operation carried out by Syrian security forces in the area.

The protesters blocked the main road, sitting on the asphalt and chanting for the release of their detained relatives. The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated in an earlier statement that the security forces conducted an operation in the area that resulted in the arrest of "a group of wanted individuals who are considered outside the law," adding that the detainees intended to carry out "criminal acts" that threaten the safety of citizens, and weapons and ammunition were found in their possession. They were later referred to the public prosecutor.

The gathering of women was an emotional scene, as they demanded to know the fate of their children, amidst heavy security presence in the area. So far, there has been no official comment regarding the protesters' demands, which heightens tension and fears within the local community. These events reflect the strong response from families suffering from the repercussions of security arrests and provide a clear impression of the emotional and psychological impact of these issues on the affected families.
