Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized today, Sunday, that the Israeli raids against Iran were "precise and powerful" and "achieved their objectives".

During a speech commemorating the Hebrew calendar anniversary of Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, he stated: "We promised to respond to the Iranian attack, and on Saturday we struck. The attack on Iran was precise, powerful, and achieved all its objectives."

Netanyahu explained that Israel forcefully targeted Iran's defensive capabilities and missile production facilities, adding: "The air force launched an attack across Iran. We forcefully struck Iran's defensive capabilities and its ability to produce missiles directed at us."

This coincided with a statement from Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei calling for neither "exaggeration nor minimization" of the strikes Israel carried out on military facilities in his country.

Israel began its airstrikes Saturday on military facilities inside Iran in response to the missile bombardment that targeted its territories on October 1st.

The Iranian attack came in retaliation for the assassination of Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah along with a Revolutionary Guard commander in an Israeli raid in Beirut's southern suburbs on September 27, as well as the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in an operation attributed to Israel in Tehran on July 31.

The Iranian armed forces revealed that four military personnel were killed as a result of the raids, which according to them caused "limited losses" affecting "some radar systems."
