Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes and Rocket Attacks from Lebanon
Israeli airstrikes and shelling continue across various regions in Lebanon. In the latest battlefield developments, the Israeli military announced today, Sunday, that it has detected the launch of 75 rockets from Lebanon aimed at the Upper and Middle Galilee regions in northern Israel.
Website 0404 reported a statement from an Israeli military spokesperson saying that, "Following the alerts activated in the Upper and Middle Galilee areas, approximately 75 launches were detected crossing Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted, and their debris was observed in the region."
The site mentioned that rocket fire from Lebanon into the central Galilee resulted in injuries to two people in the town of Tamra, with emergency teams on their way to the scene.
Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 13 reported a "direct hit on a house in Tamra, with preliminary reports indicating that a person sustained serious injuries at the site."
Earlier today, the Israeli military urged residents of 14 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately and move north of the Litani River.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported today, Sunday, that at least 8 people were killed and 13 injured in a new casualty count following an Israeli airstrike on Sidon in southern Lebanon. According to sources from Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channels, the target of the Sidon strike was a Hezbollah security official named Hussein Fneish.
Additionally, it was reported that at least three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh in southern Lebanon. The report added that an airstrike on the town of Marjayoun the previous day resulted in the deaths of five people and the injury of one.
The Israeli military announced on Sunday that four soldiers were killed on Saturday during clashes in southern Lebanon. The military stated that the four soldiers "were killed while fighting in southern Lebanon." This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in confrontations with Hezbollah since the commencement of the ground operation in Lebanon on September 30 to 36.
Earlier, a correspondent for Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath reported three injuries from a drone strike on an aerospace manufacturing facility in Karmiel, Israel. Pictures obtained by Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath show the location where the drone fell near Akko. Channel 13 reported two injuries resulting from the drone attack on a building in Akko, while Hezbollah announced that it targeted a military industry company southeast of Akko with drones.
