Israeli Airstrikes Target Strategic Houthi Facilities in Yemen

The Israeli attack on Houthi sites in Yemen marks a strategic shift in Tel Aviv's policy towards Iranian-backed regional threats

Israeli fighter jets have launched a large-scale military operation in Yemen, targeting Houthi facilities and logistical centers, including Sanaa Airport, where military sources reported that the strikes were carried out under the direction of the supreme command.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized his country's determination to complete its mission until neutralizing the Houthi threat, describing the group as a terrorist extension of Iran.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz pledged to firmly confront anyone threatening Israel's security, indicating that the armed forces will pursue Houthi leadership to neutralize their risks.
The Israeli Chief of Staff issued instructions to strengthen the defense system in anticipation of missile and air attacks from Yemen.
The Israeli Defense Forces reported targeting Houthi strategic sites in Yemen's western coastal areas and the country's interior, with the approval of the supreme command.
The IDF statement highlighted the Houthis' use of civilian facilities for transporting military equipment and Iranian elements, emphasizing that the targeted objectives confirm the group's use of civilian infrastructure for terrorist purposes.
The Houthi Al-Masirah channel reported the death of three people and the injury of 11 others in Israeli raids on Sanaa Airport and Ras Issa Port.
Media sources revealed that Tel Aviv notified Washington of the military operation against the Houthis, while Israeli media quoted sources about the security leadership's intention to escalate operations in Yemen.
Eyewitnesses and Houthi sources confirmed that Sanaa and Hodeidah were subjected to Israeli airstrikes, coinciding with a speech by the group's leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
