Worth $4 Billion.. Riyadh Air Orders 60 Airbus Aircraft

Riyadh Air's deal with Airbus reflects the kingdom's ambition to expand its aviation sector and strengthen its position as a regional air transport hub
Riyadh Air, the kingdom's newest airline, has acquired 60 Airbus A321 narrow-body aircraft, preparing for its operations launch in 2025.
The company finalized the deal during the Future Investment Initiative forum in Riyadh, bringing its total orders to 132 aircraft, following its previous order of 39 Boeing 787 Dreamliners with an option for 33 additional aircraft last year.
Estimates by Cirium Ascend consultancy indicate that the financial value of the deal approaches four billion dollars after calculating usual discounts, while the company has not announced the exact financial details.
An official spokesperson for Riyadh Air stated that aircraft deliveries will begin in the second half of 2026, in what is described as an exceptional timeline given the congested production lines and Airbus having sold most of its models until the end of the current decade.
