Sisi and Macron Strengthen Humanitarian Support for Gaza in Visit to Al-Arish

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron arrived in the city of Al-Arish, where humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip is being gathered. The city witnessed large gatherings of thousands of citizens on Tuesday morning, who expressed their rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing Palestinians from the region.
Thousands of Egyptians from across the country flowed into Al-Arish, located in North Sinai Governorate, to reaffirm their opposition to plans associated with the displacement of Gazans. The participants in the demonstration expressed their support for the decisions of the Egyptian political leadership regarding this sensitive issue.
"Cairo News," a channel close to the Egyptian authorities, reported that the Egyptian and French presidents arrived in the city as part of Macron’s visit to Egypt, which began on Sunday and will last for three days. During this visit, Macron aims to familiarize himself with the humanitarian aid collection center for the region, located about 50 kilometers from Gaza.
Macron is scheduled to inspect the logistics center of the Egyptian Red Crescent in Al-Arish and oversee the storage and distribution of food and humanitarian aid designated for the Gaza Strip, which is transported through the Rafah border crossing, the only land route connecting the region to the outside world.
Additionally, the French president will hold a meeting with representatives of several UN and international organizations operating in the area to discuss ways to improve the aid delivery process.
On the sidelines of the visit, a trilateral summit was held between Sisi, Macron, and Jordanian King Abdullah II, where the leaders conducted a joint phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss ways to ensure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as the necessity of reopening humanitarian aid channels and the urgent release of all hostages and detainees.
