Gaza: 11 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes and Threats to Expand Military Operations
غزة _ أرشيف

The Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza reported that 11 Palestinians were killed, including three infants, early Saturday morning, as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Khan Younis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip. rescuers and volunteers retrieved the bodies of dozens of victims, some dismembered and in pieces, from the site of the shelling in the Shujaiyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, which targeted a home last night.

The Civil Defense stated that the Israeli warplanes intensified their airstrikes across various areas of the strip last night, with the region witnessing fierce and bloody attacks, leading to continued bloodshed and increased suffering among the population.

In another tragic development, Palestinian medical sources announced that a girl died due to hunger and dehydration in Gaza City, raising the death toll from malnutrition in the area to 54, amidst worsening humanitarian conditions.

On the political and military front, Israeli sources reported that the Israeli Security Cabinet approved a plan to expand military operations in Gaza, according to Reuters. This decision comes after Israel resumed its fierce attacks on the strip since March 18, following the collapse of a fragile two-month ceasefire, which was broken by an unprecedented attack carried out by Hamas in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, igniting the fiercest war between the two sides to date.

Amid escalating hostilities, the humanitarian and security crisis deepens, with the occupation forces seeking to strengthen their military positions, while the Palestinian people continue to suffer the consequences of the bombardments, amid fears of further violence and destruction spreading in the region.
