Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a video broadcast on Tuesday, following US President Donald Trump's sudden announcement of direct negotiations with Tehran regarding its nuclear program, that a military solution is "inevitable" against Iran if it continues to stall in talks.

Netanyahu explained in the recording: "We agree with Trump that Iran should not possess a nuclear weapon," adding that "this can be achieved through an agreement (ensuring the dismantling of Iranian nuclear facilities) under American supervision... and this would be good," but "the second option, if that's not the case, is that they stall in discussions, and then there is no escape from the military option."

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned President Trump on Tuesday against threatening military action before nuclear talks, emphasizing that Tehran will never accept "coercion."

In an analytical article published by the Washington Post, Araghchi reiterated his previous statements to Iranian official media indicating that reaching an agreement would be possible if the United States showed "good faith."

Before talks in Oman, Araghchi also warned of the consequences of the military option.

Araghchi wrote: "To move forward today, we must first agree that there can be no military option, let alone a military solution." He stressed that Tehran "will never accept coercion and imposition."

President Trump had unexpectedly announced Monday evening that Washington would begin "direct" high-level negotiations with Iran regarding its nuclear program next Saturday, during his hosting of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

Tehran acknowledged that the talks would be held in Oman, while emphasizing they would be "indirect."

After returning to the White House in January, Trump resumed implementing the "maximum pressure" policy toward Tehran, but at the same time expressed willingness to engage in dialogue to conclude a new nuclear agreement.
