Ukrainian Air Force Destroys Russian Drones and Missiles Amid Intensified Eastern Front Conflicts

The Ukrainian Air Force announced on Wednesday the destruction of a significant number of drones launched by Russian forces towards various regions of Ukraine.

The Air Force reported the interception of 28 offensive Russian drones out of 32 that were launched by Russia at the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson.

Additionally, the Air Force stated that it also intercepted 4 guided missiles of the Kh-59/69 type.

The Russian military targeted the Kharkiv region with a missile from the (S-300) system, and three missiles of unspecified types, in addition to launching four guided missiles of the Kh-59/69 type from the skies over the Black Sea towards Odesa.

For its part, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry acknowledged the difficult situation on the eastern fronts, noting that the Russian army, which is superior in equipment and numbers, is relentlessly attacking all Ukrainian positions.

The ministry added that the combat fronts experienced 154 clashes in the past hours, with most concentrated around the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Kurakhove areas.

It reported that the Russian army conducted three missile strikes, 75 air raids, and nearly 5,000 attacks against Ukrainian positions within the last 24 hours, including 178 using various missile systems.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces targeted 20 Russian positions along the frontline, as well as two command and control points, and destroyed three air defense systems and an artillery unit.
