President-elect Donald Trump continues forming his administrative team, appointing close allies to pivotal positions, with plans to bypass lengthy Senate confirmation procedures.

Reports suggest Florida Senator Marco Rubio's likely appointment as Secretary of State, while Trump selected 40-year-old New York Representative Elise Stefanik as Washington's UN Ambassador, according to the New York Times.

Trump, set to take office in January, stated: "She's a fighter for America First, strong, persistent, and extremely smart."

Trump has begun delegating the contentious illegal immigration file at the border to Tom Homan, who will implement the Republican candidate's pledge for the largest deportation operation of illegal residents in the country's history.

Trump chose Michael Waltz, the Florida representative and former Special Forces member known for his hardline stance, as the pivotal National Security Advisor position, according to the same newspaper.

The President-elect assigned the Environmental Protection Agency leadership to his supporter Lee Zeldin, and sources suggest Stephen Miller, his chief advisor since his first successful campaign, will be appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff.

Trump, who will meet President Biden on Wednesday at the White House, plans to circumvent the lengthy Senate confirmation process despite Republican control, planning to use a legal provision allowing temporary presidential appointments during congressional recess.

Trump tweeted: "Any Republican senator interested in the Senate Majority Leader position must agree to this clause, without which we won't be able to confirm people in a timely manner."

These developments followed after the 78-year-old forty-seventh President-elect of the United States initiated his key appointments last Thursday by selecting Susie Wiles as White House Chief of Staff.

Wiles served as director of his successful campaign, in which he secured 312 electoral votes compared to Kamala Harris's 226, with indicators confirming his lead in the popular vote as well.
