Israeli forces established an advanced military position at "Al-Mantara Dam" in the Quneitra area of the Golan Heights, according to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath correspondent.

The correspondent highlighted Israeli military movements including deploying tanks and ground forces in the region, establishing military bases and defensive fortifications, and organizing local population movement according to a specific schedule.

The report pointed to the strategic importance of Al-Mantara Dam, considering it a primary water source for Quneitra, its rural areas, and Daraa Governorate, classifying it among the most significant water facilities in southern Syria.

Israeli operations in Syria during 2024 reached unprecedented levels, primarily targeting Iranian presence and Tehran-affiliated militias, continuing even after the Syrian regime's fall in December.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights statistics revealed 373 Israeli operations, including 347 air strikes and 26 ground operations, targeting 1,032 military sites and weapon depots.

The Israeli military operations eliminated 414 military elements, injured 277 others, in addition to 68 civilian casualties, including 13 children and 16 women, and wounding 85 others.
