Israeli Channel 14 revealed a ready military plan to respond to the Iranian attack, including targeting Iranian officials' homes in response to the "assassination attempt" on Netanyahu by a Hezbollah-launched drone at his residence.
The channel highlighted that the Israeli military and foreign intelligence service presented a secret plan to Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, including targeting oil facilities and military and government sites.
The channel noted that knowledge of attack details is limited to a small number of officials, indicating that participating pilots will be briefed on targets immediately before execution.
It discussed the possibility of fighter jets and refueling aircraft participating in the operation, with potential use of long-range missiles, while Israel threatened a "lethal and strong response."
Iranian UN Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani expressed concern over US President Joe Biden's "worrying and provocative" statement about knowing the timing and method of potential Israeli response.
Iravani warned UN Secretary-General in a letter about Washington's "complicity" in any Israeli aggression, pointing to its technical and military support for Tel Aviv, considering any military action a violation of international law.
This escalation comes as US President Joe Biden announced his opposition to targeting Iranian nuclear and oil facilities, indicating divergent positions between Washington and Tel Aviv.
