An Israeli raid targeted the Deputy Commander of Al-Radwan Force, Mustafa Ahmad Shahdi, in the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, amid escalating military tensions on the Lebanese front.

The targeting of Al-Radwan Force leadership has intensified, with the occupation army announcing on October 11 the elimination of Ghareeb Al-Shuja, commander of the anti-tank missile unit, while a September raid claimed the life of Ibrahim Aqil, the unit's commander, in Beirut's southern suburb.

Al-Radwan Force stands out as an elite unit established after the 2006 war, taking its operational name in honor of its founder Imad Mughniyeh after his assassination in 2008, and includes several thousand trained fighters.

The force demonstrated its military capabilities during public maneuvers in May 2023, simulating operations to breach occupied territories, and possesses a diverse arsenal of weapons and missiles.

Al-Radwan Force's missions focus on infiltration behind enemy lines, particularly northern settlements, raising concerns within the Israeli military establishment about the possibility of a Galilee invasion in the event of a full-scale war.
