غارات اسرائيلية (تعبيرية)

After nearly a month of open war, tensions continue to escalate between the Israeli army and Hezbollah in Lebanon on Thursday, as Israeli forces struck several sites in southern Lebanon.

In the latest developments on the ground, Israeli Channel 12 aired footage of the Israeli flag being raised in the town of Aita al-Chaab in southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced in a series of statements that it targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Sadaana area in the Lebanese Shebaa Farms earlier today.

Prior to that, Israeli aircraft carried out strikes in several areas, including Sirin, Al-Safri, and Tamnin in Lebanon's Bekaa region, and around the city of Tyre in the towns of Al-Hush and Al-Burj Al-Shimali in the south after warning the Israeli army to evacuate.

Earlier, correspondents for "Al-Arabiya" and "Al-Hadath" reported an Israeli strike on the town of Aita al-Chaab in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army announced the death of Hussein Mohammed Awada, a Hezbollah battalion commander in the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, noting that he was responsible for launching shells from Bint Jbeil toward Israel. The Israeli army added that it had killed more than 45 Hezbollah members and destroyed over 150 Hezbollah targets within 24 hours, as well as discovering numerous Hezbollah weapons caches in southern Lebanon.

On the other hand, Hezbollah announced on Thursday the destruction and burning of two Israeli "Merkava" tanks in the Labouna heights with guided missiles, leading to the burning of the tanks and casualties among their crew.

Earlier, our correspondent reported a cautious calm prevailing in the southern suburbs of Beirut, amidst the flight of Israeli reconnaissance aircraft over Lebanese skies, while also noting an airstrike on the outskirts of the town of Anqoun in southern Lebanon.
