25 out of 98 candidates disqualified for Libya's presidential election
The Xinhua reported, the High National Elections Commission of Libya on Wednesday announced that 25 out of 98 candidates for the presidential election have been disqualified.
The commission said, the disqualification was decided based on recommendations of the Attorney General, Criminal Investigation Department, and the Citizenship and Passport Department.
One of the most notable disqualified candidates is Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the late leader Muammar Gaddafi who was toppled in 2011.
The commission also published a primary list of 73 presidential candidates.

According to the commission's electoral plan, a final list of presidential candidates will be published earlier in December.
It started accepting applications for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on Nov. 8.
