The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it continues its ground operations in the Gaza Strip, noting that the air force has carried out strikes on more than 45 targets throughout the region over the past 24 hours.

The army explained in its statement: "In the Rafah area, the troops of Gaza Division (143) have deepened their operations in the Tal al-Sultan area, where forces discovered tunnel openings and destroyed infrastructure in the region."

It added: "The 36th Division forces continue to operate in the Rafah area and along the Morag axis, which is a region where the army had not previously operated. During these activities, the forces found buildings that were being used for terrorist purposes and destroyed underground infrastructure, resulting in the elimination of several militants."

In northern Gaza, the army concluded its statement by saying: "Division 252 continues to move in the Shujaiyah area, where the forces eliminated militants and, in coordination with the air force, destroyed a cache of combat means over the past day."

The statement also noted: "The air force has conducted strikes on more than 45 targets of organizations throughout the Gaza Strip, including sites for the production of munitions and rocket launchers ready for firing at Israel, as well as military buildings, weapon depots, and activist cells."
