US air forces targeted Houthi centers in the coastal governorate of Hodeidah late Monday-Tuesday, followed by a drone strike against group leadership elements near Al-Bayda governorate in central Yemen.

Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath sources revealed Tuesday evening that an American drone carried out an attack on Houthi positions in the central region, with sources explaining that the operation targeted a vehicle carrying Houthi officials in the Al-Sawma'ah area.

This attack was preceded by US Air Force strikes on Houthi targets in the coastal Hodeidah governorate late Monday-Tuesday, coinciding with the discovery of three Houthi missiles launched from Al-Durayhimi areas south of Hodeidah, and Bajil area east of the governorate.

The US Department of Defense "Pentagon" announced its fighters conducted operations against Houthi sites in Yemen, reporting that its aircraft executed a series of airstrikes last Saturday night, targeting advanced weapons storage facilities belonging to the Houthis in Yemen.

The group continues to attack international shipping lines near Yemeni coasts since last November, coinciding with the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza Strip.

Houthi attacks led to US and British military intervention against their positions in Yemen, causing disruption to global trade movement, as ship operators were forced to divert their routes away from the Red Sea and Suez Canal, preferring the longer route around the African continent.
