Two Villages in Eastern Ukraine Under Russian Control
Russian state news agencies reported today, Tuesday, that the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces had gained control over the villages of Neskuchnoye and Terny located in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement indicating that "Russian forces liberated the town of Neskuchnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic," noting that Russian units advanced on several fronts and inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian forces.
The statement mentioned that "units of the central group improved their positions along the front line, targeting military personnel and equipment belonging to five mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian forces and two National Guard brigades in various areas of the Donetsk People's Republic."
Estimates indicate that Ukrainian forces' losses are approximately 500 soldiers, in addition to the destruction of one armored fighting vehicle and two other vehicles, as well as the destruction of eight field guns.
The statement also reported that the Eastern Group forces targeted personnel and equipment belonging to three local defense brigades in the areas of Konstantinopol, Velyka Novosilka, Novobohdanivka, and Fomivka in Donetsk, and Novodaryivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The estimated losses of Ukrainian forces in this area are around 220 soldiers and seven vehicles, along with two artillery pieces.
