NATO: 600,000 Russian Soldiers Killed and Wounded in Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that more than 600,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded since the start of military operations in Ukraine.

Rutte confirmed that Moscow's deployment of foreign forces reflects President Vladimir Putin's "growing desperation," explaining that the latter is "unable to continue his attack on Ukraine without foreign support."

The NATO Secretary General revealed to journalists: "Today, I can confirm that North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia, and North Korean military units have already been deployed in the Kursk region."

Rutte's statements coincided with a briefing provided by a high-level South Korean delegation to ambassadors of the 32 NATO countries at NATO headquarters in Brussels regarding these developments.

Western officials warned of the implications of thousands of North Korean soldiers participating in the largest conflict since World War II, pointing to its effects on the exhausted Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported last Friday, based on intelligence information, that North Korean forces are close to reaching the battlefield.

The United States estimates the number of North Korean soldiers sent for training in Russia at about 3,000 personnel.
