Israeli army storms Al-Baath city in Quneitra

The city of Al-Baath in the Quneitra Governorate, southern Syria, witnessed an incursion by the Israeli army today, Monday, which involved evacuating several employees from government offices under the pretext of conducting inspections.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers entered government facilities and expelled employees while the occupying forces remain stationed in the city.
With the intensifying conflict in Syria and the opposition's overthrow of the Assad regime, Israeli attacks on Syrian territory have escalated, leading to the destruction of the military infrastructure and many facilities of the regime. The occupation has also expanded its control over the Golan Heights, including the remaining parts of Mount Sheikh, and entered areas in the Yarmouk Basin within Daraa and Quneitra, committing violations against the local population.
Earlier this month, the town of Sweida in the southern Quneitra countryside witnessed a military incursion by the occupying forces, resulting in injuries to six civilians, including a child, of varying degrees, according to local sources. During their withdrawal after several hours, soldiers fired on a popular demonstration organized to protest the Israeli incursion, resulting in injuries to six people, one of whom is in critical condition. All were transferred to the national hospital in the Golan for treatment.
In light of the previous events, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the army to prepare to remain in the Syrian Hermon area and the buffer zone until at least the end of 2025. According to Israeli army radio, it was emphasized that the troops must remain on Mount Sheikh for at least one year, until the end of 2025.
