Inciting Against Egypt from Damascus.. Family of Fugitive Brotherhood Member Disowns Him

Al-Mansour family's rejection of his incitement reveals Egyptian society's awareness of the danger of extremist ideas promoted by terrorist groups

Atef Al-Mansour announced his denunciation and disavowal of his son Ahmed Al-Mansour, the terrorist element residing in Syria, who broadcasts inciting videos against Egypt from his office in Damascus.
In a video recording obtained by "Al-Arabiya.net/Al-Hadath.net," the father of the extremist element denied his son's claims about him and his family being arrested by Egyptian authorities, confirming that his son seeks leadership.
The elder Mansour pointed to the Egyptian state's support for his family, explaining that it spent one million pounds to enable Ahmed's brother to obtain a master's degree from Italy.
Extremist Ahmed Al-Mansour sparked widespread controversy through his appearance in video recordings from the Syrian capital threatening to use violence against Egypt, announcing the establishment of the so-called "January 25 Revolutionaries Movement" and calling for riots.
Al-Mansour, born in Alexandria, hails from Sohag governorate, and previously belonged to the "Hazimoun" group affiliated with Salafi extremist Hazem Salah Abu Ismail.
The element participated in the Rabaa Al-Adawiya and Al-Nahda sit-ins in 2013, and after the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood's rule, he fled Egypt to join extremist organizations in Syria such as "Jaish al-Fatah" and "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" organization.
