California sheriff says ‘Multiple victims’ shot at the state church
Authorities in US state of California said that multiple people were shot Sunday (May 15) at a church in Southern of the state.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said on Twitter, the shooting happened at an unnamed church on the 24000 block of El Toro Road in the city of Laguna Woods.
He added that "Deputies are responding to reports of a shooting at a church on the 24000 block of El Toro Road in Laguna Woods. Multiple victims have been shot. More details to follow, PIO en route."

He mentioned: "This has been a sad day for the community. We will provide additional updates on the investigation tomorrow. We are committed to fully investigating and sharing as much information as possible while maintaining the integrity of the investigation."

The department said: “We have detained one person and have recovered a weapon that may be involved."
