The Kremlin denied Monday the accuracy of news published in Turkish media regarding Asma Al-Assad, former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's wife, seeking divorce and departure from Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed Turkish media reports claiming restrictions on Assad's movements and freezing his real estate properties, emphasizing in response to a query about these reports' accuracy: "No, they do not correspond to reality."

Turkish and Arab media platforms circulated news Sunday about Asma Al-Assad submitting a separation request in Russia, where the Assad family settled as refugees this month after opposition seized Damascus following a rapid attack.

HABERTURK newspaper revealed Asma Al-Assad's desire to head to Britain, as she holds British citizenship, with support from her mother Sahar Al-Otari, who initiated discussions with a prominent law firm in England, citing her leukemia suffering and lack of adequate medical care in Moscow.

Sources indicate that Asma Al-Assad's health condition, suffering from acute myeloid leukemia, requires advanced medical follow-up unavailable in Moscow, making her return to London an urgent necessity.

Her efforts to return to London face legal challenges, including accusations of corruption, embezzlement, and illegal enrichment, requiring financial settlements in the United Kingdom.
