علي يرلي كايا

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced today, Tuesday, new and important facilities for Syrians in Turkey regarding entry to and exit from Syria.

The Turkish minister stated that one person from each Syrian family residing in Turkey will be allowed to enter Syria and return three times during the period from January 2025, with the aim of facilitating arrangements for the return of their families.

He added that a migration management office will be opened at the Turkish embassy and consulate in Damascus and Aleppo to facilitate the transactions of Syrians.

He indicated that Syrians returning to their country can take all their belongings and vehicles with them. Syrians wishing to return to their country can submit a request via the immigration management website and get an appointment on the same day.

The number of returnees to Syria in the last 15 days has exceeded 25,000 people.

It is noteworthy that since the eighth of this month, following the fall of Assad, many Syrians from various places have headed back to their country, especially from Turkey and Lebanon, and even from Jordan, which had initially closed its borders due to security conditions before reopening them later.
