Trump says he "will probably have" to run for president again in 2024
Former US President Donald Trump on Saturday (Oct 22) hinted he would run for office in 2024 by saying that he will "probably have to do it again".
"I ran twice. I won twice. I did much better as a second time than I did the first. Getting millions more votes in 2020 than we got in 2016 and likewise getting more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country by far. And now, in order to make our country successful, safe and glorious again, I will probably have to do it again."
Trump's comments came a day after the House Select Committee issued a subpoena to the former president for his alleged involvement in the Capitol Hill riots.
Trump made the comment while addressing a rally in Texas.
In reference to his supporters who voted him into the presidential office in 2016, the former president said they are "stronger than ever before."
"The silent majority is back stronger than ever before ... My fellow citizens, this incredible journey we are on together has only just begun," said Trump.
