Nigerian state governor announces 3-day mourning for victims in building collapse
The Xinhua reported, the governor of the Lagos state has declared three days of mourning following a deadly building collapse occurred on Monday afternoon in the economic hub of Nigeria.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of the Lagos state, said in a statement on Thursday that all flags are to be flown at half-mast in public and private buildings and official engagements are to be cancelled during the mourning period.
The governor said the mourning would begin on Friday and end on Sunday.
Sanwo-Olu said: "The Lagos state government, once again, commiserates with all those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident."

The death toll from the building collapse in the Ikoyi area of Lagos rose to 38 on Thursday after more bodies have been retrieved by rescuers from the debris, according to Ibrahim Farinloye, coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency in the Lagos state.
Farinloye said in a statement the rescue operation which kicked off on Monday was still continuing.
