210 Trucks in a Month.. Unprecedented Coalition Reinforcements Flow to Northern Syria
-
The scale of US military reinforcements indicates Washington's determination to maintain the balance of power in the region, especially with growing concerns about ISIS's return
Clashes continue between US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Turkish-backed armed factions in northeastern Syria, while the US-led coalition intensifies military equipment flow.
Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath correspondent reported Monday the crossing of the largest logistics convoy since recent Damascus political changes through Al-Walid border crossing with Iraqi Kurdistan. The convoy included 60 trucks carrying military equipment, weapons, ammunition, and logistics supplies, heading to coalition bases in Hasaka and Deir ez-Zor provinces.
Total military convoys entering the region since Damascus political changes reached 6 convoys, carrying approximately 210 trucks. The correspondent noted extensive US armored vehicle and troop movement in strategic areas including Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Kobani.
Washington, whose representatives met with HTS leader al-Jolani last week in Damascus, has repeatedly warned of ISIS potentially exploiting recent developments for terrorist operations.
This military reinforcement comes as pressure mounts on SDF, with Ankara insisting on their disarmament despite US diplomatic de-escalation efforts.
Field sources indicate reinforcements aim to strengthen strategic positions east of Euphrates, particularly amid concerns about ISIS exploiting potential security gaps. Military experts note reinforcement levels exceed usual standards, suggesting preparations for a new regional phase.
Analysts view US military movements as affirming commitment to northeastern Syria's stability and ensuring counter-terrorism operations continuity.
