Saudi Arabia declares that it did not help in targeting Hodeida in Yemen..

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a statement on Sunday clarifying its lack of involvement in the attack targeting the Yemeni coastal city of Hodeidah by the Israeli Air Force.

The Israeli army announced on Saturday that the Israeli Air Force bombed Houthi military targets in Yemen, in response to the armed group’s attacks against Israel in recent months.

Saudi Ministry of Defense spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has no relationship or involvement in targeting Hodeidah.”
He added that the Kingdom “will not allow any party to violate its airspace.”

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said it was following the “military escalation” with concern, adding that it could “exacerbate current tension in the region and harm ongoing efforts to end the war on Gaza.”

The Ministry called for restraint, and stressed the continuation of Saudi efforts to support peace in Yemen and achieve regional security.
