Kamel Saqr, the former director of the media office in the Syrian presidency, revealed numerous details regarding the final moments inside the presidential palace before the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Saqr confirmed that he was the last to leave the palace.

In an interview with journalist Hussein Sheikh on the "Mix" podcast presented by Al Arabiya Network, Saqr discussed his extensive experience with Bashar al-Assad and his observation of the rapid changes and the significant collapse the regime faced. He recounted Assad's movements and meetings in the days leading up to his escape.

Saqr highlighted his monitoring of the battlefield developments, the shifts in the course of the war, and the opposition factions' takeover of Syrian cities. He spoke about his communications with Russian President Vladimir Putin and how these communications were often ignored. He also revealed details of his last trip to Russia before the regime's collapse, reflecting the failure of his attempts to convince his allies.

Saqr documented the critical moments he experienced as Bashar al-Assad departed from the palace, the individuals who accompanied him, as well as the fate of his brother Maher al-Assad, and the condition of the palace after the liberation of Damascus.
