Fact-Finding Committee: Time Was Not Enough to Achieve All Our Goals
ياسر فرحان

Yasir Farhan, spokesperson for the Syrian Fact-Finding Committee, stated that the committee was unable to complete its work within the specified timeframe of one month, noting that "time was not sufficient to achieve all our goals."

Farhan explained that the committee conducted investigations into human rights violations that occurred in 41 locations, based on which 41 cases were established. He mentioned that there were areas that the committee could not visit due to the limited time available.

Nevertheless, the spokesperson emphasized that the local residents showed great cooperation with the committee and did not succumb to the threats they received from remnants of the former regime.

He also noted that the committee conducted investigations with elements of these remnants and issued accusations of violations against civilians. Farhan added that the committee discussed the findings of the "Amnesty" report without questioning its credibility. He also indicated that the committee reached out to "Amnesty" and invited it to participate in the committee's work and benefit from its resources.
