New intelligence information reported the possibility of Iran preparing for an attack on Israel in the near future, just before the anticipated US elections in three days, according to a source close to Israeli leadership who spoke to the Washington Post, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

Last week, Israel launched retaliatory strikes against military facilities inside Iran, responding to a previous wave of Iranian ballistic missiles that targeted Israeli territory, in the latest chapter of escalating confrontation between the two sides.

So far, there has been no confirmation from the American side regarding Iran's intention to carry out attacks against Israel.

Israel launched a series of attacks on Iranian military targets involving 100 warplanes, targeting vital military infrastructure for missile production, air defense systems, and other facilities that analysts considered strategic and inflicted severe damage to Iran's long-term military capabilities.

The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard branch in Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan province, Colonel Mohammad Baramaki, threatened to deliver a severe blow to Israel.

Baramaki stated: "The Israeli regime has taken a step against Iran that will not benefit it, but will face a harsh response from the Iranian people. Netanyahu is a killer of innocent women and children, and has no standing in the international community."

He continued: "The Iranian people have proven since the first days of history until today, especially during the period of sacred defense, that they are a victorious and resistant people, and that the heroic warriors in Iran have not feared war, and will remain steadfast in the face of enemies who threaten them."

Baramaki concluded his statements by saying: "The Israelis should not test Iran and the people of this country with empty threats, as we have repeatedly proven throughout history that our enemies will never be able to subjugate this people."
