Erdogan: The Project to Divide Syria Has Failed and the Return of Refugees is Voluntary

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that the project to divide Syria into three parts has failed, emphasizing that the return of Syrians to their homeland will be voluntary without any pressure or coercion.
This statement came during a speech he delivered at an event for the ruling Justice and Development Party in Adana, where he explained that the Turkish government provides all necessary facilities for Syrians wishing to return to their country, according to Anadolu Agency.
Erdogan pointed out that Turkey does not apply any pressure on refugees to return, noting that his country has stood by the oppressed since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, adopting a policy that aligns with its history and values.
The Turkish president drew attention to the collapsed Syrian regime, which committed massacres against the people, acknowledging that Turkey has opened its doors and borders to Syrian refugees, sharing essential resources like food and water.
Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to supporting the oppressed in Syria, explaining that his country will continue to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian people despite the regional and international challenges it faces.
In a related context, Erdogan noted during his speech on Friday at the routine Justice and Development Party conference in Kayseri that "Turkey cannot feel completely secure as long as there are separatist terrorists armed in Syria."
He also added that history has proven the correctness of Turkey's position on the Syrian crisis, pointing to the collapse of the Baath regime in Syria, which did not hesitate to oppress its people for 61 years, as the regime's President Bashar Al-Assad fled the country without looking back.
