Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of Foreign Affairs Department in the Autonomous Administration, revealed ongoing negotiations to deploy US and French forces to secure Syria's northern borders.

Ahmed highlighted, according to TV5 Monde, the Autonomous Administration's readiness to hand border protection responsibility to the US-French coalition, indicating efforts to obtain French support for improving relations with Ankara.

These developments coincided with hostile statements from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who threatened cross-border attacks against Syrian Democratic Forces if Ankara's demands are not met.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated he would not accept the presence of what he called "terrorist organizations" in Syria, referring to Syrian Democratic Forces that played a pivotal role in defeating ISIS.

Turkey continues attempting to link Syrian Democratic Forces to the Kurdistan Workers' Party, ignoring these forces' vital role in combating terrorism and achieving stability in northeastern Syria.

The developments confirm the importance of US and French roles in protecting stable areas in northeastern Syria from continuous Turkish threats.
