Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi began his participation in the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, where he was received by the President of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

Egyptian Presidency spokesman Ahmed Fahmy announced: "President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is heading to the Russian Federation to participate in the BRICS summit, held in Kazan from October 22 to 24," confirming this as Egypt's first participation as a member of the group.

The Presidential spokesman revealed that Sisi will present Egypt's vision and positions on international and regional issues, particularly the development of multilateral cooperation and addressing global political and economic challenges.

Fahmy emphasized that Sisi will address issues of global financial system reform and strengthening developing countries' role in international forums, focusing on the impact of international crises on development.

The spokesman highlighted that the Egyptian President will clarify his country's position on Middle East developments and efforts to de-escalate and prevent the expansion of conflict into a regional war.

Sisi will engage in "BRICS Plus" activities that bring member states together with friendly organizations and countries, emphasizing the importance of strengthening "South-South" cooperation.

The visit's program includes a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other participating leaders to discuss bilateral relations and common issues.
