Russia will evacuate over 380 Russian and foreign citizens from Afghanistan

The Xinhua reported that the Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda broadcasting service said Thursday, Russia will evacuate more than 380 Russian and foreign citizens from Afghanistan.


It said, citing the ministry: "On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu organized the evacuation of more than 380 citizens from Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine, and Afghanistan from Afghan territory."

The ministry said military medics were sent with the necessary medical equipment to aid and support those people.

Three Russian Il-76 military transport aircraft have delivered humanitarian aid to the Kabul airport and are continuing evacuation procedures.
