The Immigration and Passport Administration in Syria announced on Monday the full resumption of its services, as reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA).

The administration confirmed that it has officially begun issuing passports and completing the printing of passports that were being processed. It has also rescheduled previous appointments to provide a seamless and efficient service experience that meets citizens' needs.

In a related context, Walid Arabi, the head of the Immigration and Passport Administration in Damascus, revealed developments regarding passport issuance services. He explained that the new passports to be issued soon will have a standardized validity period of six years and promised a new passport design to be launched in the near future.

Arabi stated that the administration is working to gradually reactivate its operations after a period of suspension, noting that the new measures aim to facilitate access to services for citizens both within Syria and abroad.

He added, "We have now begun taking the first steps towards restoring the efficiency of the passport administration. After an intensive work period of about a month, we have resumed the operation of the network and the branches of the administration, and we have started printing the accumulated passports that were stuck when the system halted. We are moving step by step to restore the system to its normal state."

Arabi concluded by stating, "We confirm that there are no restrictive or mandatory procedures, as passports will be available to everyone with a standardized validity period of six years, and this is the guarantee currently available."
