Protest in Damascus Against Obscuring Evidence in the Regime's Detention Centers

On Thursday, families of several missing persons and detainees in the prisons of the former Syrian regime organized a protest in the capital, Damascus, demanding justice for their loved ones and stopping the "obscuring" of evidence in security branches, in light of a controversial "initiative" related to painting the walls of one of the prisons.

The protesters, who gathered in front of the "Khatib Branch" security center near Liberation Square in Damascus, emphasized the importance of holding accountable those involved in crimes against the Syrian people during the years of the revolution. They raised their demands to the new authorities to reveal the fate of the missing and to provide justice for the victims and their families, whose children had been arrested or went missing thereafter.

Aimed at secondary school students, the event brought together a distinguished group of academic professionals and technology experts to mentor and inspire young participants.
More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
