Palestinian President: current Israeli government 'immature' to launch serious peace process
The Xinhua reported, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday that the current Israeli government "is immature" for launching a serious peace process.
Abbas made the remark during a meeting of the executive committee of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Abbas told the meeting that his meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz two days ago focused on the necessity to abide by international resolutions and the two-state solution.
"We agreed to accomplish several outstanding issues, mainly Palestinian families' reunification, and we resolved the issue of the tax revenue dues," Abbas said.
He added that the meeting discussed the issue of the Palestinian prisoners who were arrested before the signing of Oslo peace accords between Israel and the PLO in 1993.

It should be noted that on Sunday night, Abbas met in Ramallah with Gantz for the first time since ties between the two sides were severed in 2014 due to deep differences on issues related to recognition of the Palestinian state, security, and Israeli settlements.
