Kuwait confirmed on Monday three new cases of the deadly coronavirus, raising the total number of cases to 65, according to the Ministry of Health.

A total of 905 have been quarantined due to the virus, the ministry said, adding that more than 5,000 people were tested for the virus in the country.

Kuwait on Sunday announced that all those infected with the virus are under medical observation in a hospital that has been designated for patients with coronavirus.

Only three patients are in intensive care, with one being in a critical condition, while the other two are currently stable, according to KUNA.

A spokesman for the ministry said that 10 people were allowed to leave the quarantined facility after having been cured, KUNA reported.

Kuwait on Saturday suspended all flights to and from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka. It has also banned the entry of anyone who has been to those countries in the last two weeks.
