Israeli Raids.. Targeting Kafr Sousa Results in Hezbollah Casualties
-
The targeting of residential areas in Damascus indicates an expansion of Israeli operations to include the elimination of Hezbollah leaders deep in the capital

Israeli aircraft targeted the Kafr Sousa area in Damascus and rural Homs early Thursday, causing human casualties, in an ongoing escalation against Hezbollah positions in Syria.
A Syrian military source reported that one soldier was killed and seven others were injured in attacks targeting two locations in Kafr Sousa neighborhood and a military point in rural Homs.
The source detailed the operation, which was carried out around 0340 dawn, indicating that "the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan and from northern Lebanon," confirming material damage.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria, noted "human casualties" without specifying the number.
This bombardment was preceded by an Israeli raid Monday evening in Damascus' Mezzeh district, resulting in two deaths and three injuries, where the Israeli army later announced the elimination of a prominent Hezbollah leader responsible for the organization's financing operations.
An Israeli raid in early October claimed the lives of four people, including the son-in-law of Hezbollah's late Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, in the Mezzeh area.
Israeli bombing of a residential building in the same neighborhood on October 8 killed seven civilians, according to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, while the Syrian Observatory counted nine civilians and four others, including "two from Hezbollah."
Israeli raids in Syria have recently escalated, coinciding with the intensification of confrontation with Hezbollah in Lebanon, with special focus on border crossings between the two countries, which have witnessed tens of thousands fleeing from intensive bombing on Lebanon.
Tel Aviv usually refrains from confirming its operations in Syria, sufficing to emphasize its confrontation of Iran's attempts to consolidate its military presence in Syrian territories.
