Iranian leader transferred to 'safe place'
According to sources cited by Reuters, the Iranian Supreme Leader has been moved to a safe location, with tightened security measures in place, just hours after the announcement of the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
In related news, sources confirmed that Iran is maintaining continuous communication with Hezbollah and its other regional allies to determine the "next step" following Nasrallah's death.
In an official statement, the Israeli military announced on Saturday the killing of Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and party leader Ali Kourki.
Minutes before the official announcement, Israeli media confirmed that Israeli security forces possess evidence proving the death of Hassan Nasrallah in the assassination operation that took place on Friday night.
Following extensive airstrikes by Israel on Hezbollah's main military headquarters in Beirut, conflicting reports about Nasrallah's fate were circulating.
Israeli and Western media also revealed that the airstrikes specifically targeted the Secretary-General of Hezbollah.
