The leak of two alleged U.S. intelligence documents about Israel's preparations to launch an attack on Iran has caused great concern among U.S. officials, fearing a serious security breach. These documents were published via a Telegram channel believed to be linked to Iran.

This alleged leak comes at a time when Israel is completing its preparations to retaliate against Iran, which launched a missile attack on Israeli territory in early October, in response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, at the end of last July.

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence refrained from commenting on the leaked documents, without questioning their authenticity. The "Middle East Spectator" channel on Telegram, which usually publishes pro-Iran content, claimed that it received these documents from a source within U.S. intelligence agencies.

The leaked documents include an intelligence report detailing the measures Israel has recently taken at its air bases, including the transfer of advanced munitions allegedly intended for attacking Iran. The report also points to large-scale drills conducted by the Israeli Air Force this week, involving reconnaissance aircraft and fighters.

If the report proves to be true, it reveals detailed and precise monitoring by U.S. intelligence of Israel's movements, including the use of satellites to observe activities inside Israeli air bases.

A U.S. official told "Axios" that the alleged leak is extremely concerning, but confirmed that it would not affect Israeli operational plans against Iran. For his part, a senior Israeli official reported that Tel Aviv is aware of the alleged leak and is treating the matter with utmost seriousness.

It's worth noting that this leak may be an attempt to hinder the potential Israeli operation, and it highlights the escalating information war between Israel and Iran amid rising tensions in the region.
