German authorities arrest four women suspected of being ISIS supporters

The Xinhua reported, the German Federal Public Prosecutor General said on Thursday that four suspected supporters of the Islamic State (IS) had been arrested at Frankfurt Airport as they entered Germany.

According to a statement by the public prosecutor general's office, the four women, three German nationals and one German and Moroccan national, allegedly traveled to Syria or Iraq in 2013 or 2014 and joined the terrorist organization IS.

The statement said that defendants were suspected of membership in a terrorist organization abroad. One woman was also accused of crimes against humanity as well as aiding and abetting crimes against humanity, war crimes, human trafficking, and violations of the weapons law.

It should be noted that the four people will be brought before the Federal Court of Justice (BGH), where the implementation of pre-trial custody would be decided.
