The human casualty toll in the Mazzah neighborhood of Damascus has increased to seven, including three civilians, two members of Iranian-backed militias of non-Syrian nationality, and two unidentified individuals. Additionally, nine others were injured, comprising four civilians and five military personnel due to the Israeli airstrike targeting a residential apartment near the Saraya Square in the Mazzah area of Damascus. Israeli warplanes also targeted a building belonging to a Palestinian organization near the Al-Sahaba Mosque in Qudsaya, located in the Damascus countryside.
Ambulances rushed to the scene, and the Israeli airstrikes caused extensive damage to residential buildings and ignited fires.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israel has conducted 149 strikes on Syrian territory since the beginning of 2024, with 123 being aerial and 26 ground assaults. These strikes have resulted in the injury and destruction of approximately 267 targets, including weapon and ammunition warehouses, headquarters, and vehicles.
