US Central Command targeted ISIS camps and prominent elements with precise airstrikes in Syria Monday, resulting in 12 organization members' deaths.

Military operations fall within ongoing strategy undermining ISIS capabilities and weakening structure, preventing organization from executing external operations or reorganizing in central Syria.

Airstrikes, according to Central Command, targeted areas previously under regime and Russian control, maintaining pressure momentum on organization.

US forces conducting comprehensive operation damage assessment, confirming no civilian casualties recorded.

General Michael Erik Kurilla emphasized "US Central Command, cooperating with regional allies and partners, won't allow ISIS to reconstitute itself and exploit current situation in Syria."

Military operation preceded US Central Command commander's visit to American bases in Syria, meeting US forces and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), before heading to Baghdad meeting Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

Central Command reported Kurilla received "direct assessment of security measures, rapidly changing situation, and continuing efforts preventing ISIS from exploiting current situation" in Syria, renewing commitment to achieving organization's permanent defeat.
